According to Maine Listings, the median sales prices (MSP) for existing single-family homes were up by 3.64% last month over November last year, standing at $399,000.
Conversely, that MSP was down 6.34% when compared to October, the prior month, which peaked at Maine’s historic high. The MSP indicates that half of the homes were sold for more and half were sold for less.
The same statewide report also indicated home sales decreased by 11.59% in November 2025 compared to November 2024.
Industry experts point to the record-breaking long government shutdown for delaying the processing of government-backed loans and those needing flood insurance for the downturn.
